AI tool news, with context.
AI Toolcast follows what is being released, what is changing, and what it means for people who use AI.
Our coverage
We report on new capabilities, integrations, access changes, and practical uses of AI tools. Stories begin with the development, explain the conditions, and offer analysis that helps readers decide what deserves attention.
Our readers include professionals choosing tools, developers building with them, and people following the industry. You do not need to be a developer to understand the story.
Sources, methods, and AI assistance
We use AI to assist research, writing, and production. Every article identifies its sources and reporting method. Announcement coverage is source review, not a hands-on test. Vendor benchmarks and examples stay attributed to their source; our analysis is identified as such.
A field test requires an actual run, a documented method, and inspectable results. An announcement alone does not establish that a tool is better, cheaper in practice, or suitable for every reader.
Our own products
We also build our own tools and plan to offer paid tools, MCP servers, and skills. Current releases live in Our tools. Our tool directory covers third-party products from the newsroom.
Stories do not need a sales connection. Ownership, sponsorship, and affiliate relationships will be disclosed in the affected coverage.
Updates and corrections
A substantive correction will carry an update date and an explanation on the affected article. Original publication dates remain visible. Source review dates show when we checked the evidence.
Illustrations
Conceptual artwork is labeled as illustration. AI-generated editorial images do not represent vendor interfaces, test results, or real events.
